Amir Khan

hehe brilliant, hopefully he loses, and then maybe ITV will stop ramming his ass with a dildo.

he's just been knocked down...

But he's back on his feet and seems to be doing ok now.

Boxing - such a fickle sport ;)

Future world champion my arse. He was too full of himself, he deserves to be put on his his arse.

how come whenever khan starts to hug the other guy the ref gets in the way, but if the other guy has khan hugged completely the ref lets khan carry on hitting him

if khan loses they will probably say it was a racist attack and get the decision reversed

Still not convinced about Kahn.Like Prince Naseem when he steps up in class he will be found out.

i dont get it, why is everyone against khan?? the media hype?? he cant be blamed for that. Just let him be, people sometimes forget that he's only 20yrs old, he's got a long career ahead of him and he's gonna win many many more titltes as well as loosing some. Just dont get some of the khan bashers.

I wouldn't mind Khan if he just got on with the boxing, but he's too full of himself.
"I'll be world champion by the time I'm 21 and I'll be able to retire at 24".
You wouldn't of heard that sort of nonsense from Ricky Hatton or Joe Calzaghe when they were first breaking through into the sport, they just got on with their boxing. I'll be suprised if Khan ever even manages to get a world title fight, let alone win one.

the lads just over-confident, maybe even a little complacent, but thats no reason to dislike him. I remember naseem hamed used to very very arrogant both in the ring and outside, but people seem to like him

The boy done good but this was probably the first fight that someone really had a go. He is a decent fighter, quick, slick and intelligent , but I just wish the media stopped building him up so much, he still very young and needs more fighst against pugilists with a bottle like the one today to really prove himself.

Yep. He's only 20 though, so you can't expect the finished article. I thought he looked too anxious yesterday, which cost him his composure. As for his style, he probably needs to sort out his defence. But I thought he showed a lot of character yesterday, if anything he was getting the best punches in straight after he got up.

Still not convinced. If he had got in there with a bigger puncher it would have been lights out for him! But he is still learning the ropes in professional boxing. I'll just wait til he faces a proper world class lightweight like Katsidis, Juan Diaz or Casamayor!

Shit i thought it was the indian actor Amir khan you were talking about.

The only reason why he looked unsettled yesternight is because it was the first time since his loss in the Olympics that someone had a proper go at him. His defence is poor and if he ignores it he will be beaten to a pulp much like "Prince" Naseem Hamed. He needs to sort out his defence as well as adopting a more patient approach even when on the ropes. He will do well to adapt a stereotypical Mexican boxing style

Not sure he'll ever be good enough to beat the top Mexicans, or adopt their style. He's very flamboyant, but not as flamboyant as Naseem. Although, I do agree he needs to be a little more pragmatic, or else he'll get picked off by the better fighters.

Wasn't it just........
Did they actually throw a punch in the first 2 rounds?

Fecking yawnsville.:boring:

loved his when his trainer slapped his face and said what aload of shit it was. these people have come spending good money and what the feck was that!

classic:lol:

He's still a kid, he's doing the right thing and cranking his career up, fighting better fighters - Limond is no washed up pug. I reckon that fight will really benifit him in the next few months and fights - he can't believe his own hype now and will have an idea of what it's gonna take to make it.

Personally I think he'll go on to become a decent world champion, maybe not as quickly as he thinks he will but he'll get better. I can't see how anyone can deny his natural talent and it seems to me that he's not a arrogant as some on here say - he held his hands up at the end last night to his mistakes.

As for Prince Naseem, he was a great fighter in his prime and nobody can say he didn't step up in class. He beat some good good fighters and in their own back yards. Steve Robinson in Cardiff to take his title, Daniel Alicea in the US, Tom Johnson and how good was his chin against Kevin Kelley.

He only looked shit when he went off the rails, stopped training properly and in the end Barrera made him look a fool.

I don't think Kahn has ever shown he has the same kind of attitude as him.
