Yeah but it's not "trying" to be great. It is great. It's a fecking true story, so how else is it meant to portray itself? At least it's better than a lot of that Hollywood trite we constantly see

Time tells what films are relevent, and real. I reckon this will be forgotten. The Departed however will be remembered as a classsic film. Thats not being a snob, its just honest.
The original is 10 times better than that film
