from manunited.com, didn't see this posted on here yet:

The dates of United's tour of America have been amended.

The Reds will travel to the USA next summer for a series of friendlies in Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston and New York, and are guaranteed to play in front of some big crowds.

The amended dates are:

Thursday 24 July - Seattle (provisional)
Sunday 27 July - Los Angeles
Wednesday 30 July - Boston
Sunday 3 August - New York

Opposition for all four games are yet to be announced.

Cheers destro...they've pushed the Boston match back by two weeks. Nice to see Seattle added, all the Vancouver Reds can come down to see it

have the venues been decided yet?

and the Portland Reds will take the trip up I-5. probably stay over and make a night of it. We should all meet up.

Already talked the husband into taking a few days and going to New York, not only for a little vacation but the chance to see them in person is one I do not want to miss.

They gonna play the Seattle match at Safeco? If I recall there was a pretty good crowd there for a US friendly about 4-5 months ago...

Ideal oppostion:

Seattle: US NT/a big European club
LA: Galaxy/Mexican champs (Cruz Azul?)
Boston: Celtic
NY: Rep. of Ireland

:)

The Galaxy are having their own stadium built here in LA over the next year. I think that it's supposed to be ready by then.

I don't know where it's going to be...but I'll look into it. I'm sure that if United are coming here that's where they will play.

Celtic v United at Foxboro would be great.

T'would, but knowing how things are run when it comes to football over here I wouldn't be suprised to see this lineup:

Seattle: MLS 'All-Stars'
LA: Galaxy
Boston: US Women's NT ( ;) )
NY: Metros

Celtic and Real are supposed to be the East coast games.

There was also talk of playing a game in Portland but I wouldn't think they'll play 5 games.

real in ny and the tic in boston???????????

july 30th , they'll do a double header w/ the rev and MU. at least one game will be fun!

Cool your jets cuz, it's a year away still...

LABOB dont u think they would play in the rose bowl or the collesium certainly anything that the galaxy would build would not be enough if we play cruz azul or the mexican national team. My hope is we play the US team here in sunny california :)
