My mates got one and it's an absolute cnut to figure out. He doesn't even know how to use it properly and he's had it for years.
I bought one several years ago - not an expensive one but one for £20 or so I think. But the bastard was so complicated to sync with the different equipment it was meant to be used with that I gave up in the end.
Thinking about it though, I wouldnt mind trying that again.
The easier solution is to make a megatron like in Peep Show.

there's a philips one that's about £750 - seeing as money is no object.
dunno it was listed in an issue of what hi fi I've got floatin around somewhere if I remember I'll check out the model number and let ya know.
Mind with my memory chances of me remembering are pretty low - there was another one they recommended highly - again in the highly unlikely event of me rememberin I'll let ya know brand n model.
I think universal remotes are shite mind but there ya go - only ever seem to properly do some of the commands so you end up using the original remote anyway

did you know the sky one can be used to program your tv as well. not sure how you would do it but here in australia, we have foxtel, the equivalent of sky, and have the exact same remote, and the instructions are in the manual.
