All Future Rockstar Games Set For PS3 Exclusivity?

There are quite a few sites reporting this, not sure whether there is any truth in it, but it certainly will be interesting if it is true.

According to reports, all future games from Rockstar beyond Grand Theft Auto IV will be exclusive to the PS3. GTA IV is slated to release in April on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but that may be all the love Xbox 360 owners get from Rockstar.

They stated in a report in Play Magazine “The game is both PS3 and 360, but Rockstar has suggested that all further game development is going to be PS3 exclusive.”

This has led many to believe that Rockstar is planning to once again be an exclusive developer for the Sony camp with all future games.

This is still a rumor at this point, but it is definitely something to take under consideration.

Rockstar putting out the past Grand Theft Auto releases on the PS2 gave the Sony console a huge advantage over the original Xbox console.

This has also led some ot speculate that Sony has put together another deal with Rockstar to get all future Grand Theft Auto titles exclusive to the PS3, much like they had with the PS3.

Only time will tell, but it is interesting to say the least.
 
Yeah i heard about this.

Don't think its true tbh...

I know there next 2 games are ps3 exclusive though.
 
Couldn't care less about GTA. Pretty gutted that Final Fantasy won't be out on the 360 though, thats the main reason I will get a ps3.

Probably. Although apparently a new slim one is coming out near christmas but if the only difference is that its slimmer then I'm not too fussed about waiting for that, I wouldn't mind Unreal Tournament, though I think that is coming out on the 360? Also Resistance 2 looks good. I don't really get the whole console rivalry thing, the ps3 looks superb to me and I have no problmes with owning the 360 and a ps3.
 
If GTA:SA wasn't so shit, i'd beg to differ.

I was playing number 3 again the other day though, shits still fun to play.

And there is only so many people you can shoot, so many goals you can score and so many times you can drive a car round a track. FPS's, football games and driving sims still sell by the bucket load.

I think GTA has more variation that most games.

Mr Blobby was a fine artist - if only he was given more creative control, then im sure he could have dominated the UK charts in the 90's.

Then what makes you say its on its last legs?

The sales figures of Vice City and San Andreas would suggest otherwise.

The first next gen version of GTA, available on PS3 & 360 - its going to be huge! Im sure there will be sequels and they too will be massive sellers.

Hate it or love it - its not on its last legs.
