Once he didn't have a good runs with italian side, AC Parma. But what I read from most of FB fans, that this Alex fella is a fan favourite player.

More on him on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexsandro_de_Souza

He didn't have a brilliant run, but it wasn't particularly bad either...

In 5 games, he scored 2 goals and made 7 assists. I think the main problem was that the manager didn't really give him a enough of a chance.

Anyhow, it turned out well for him in the end because he won a judicial battle and was able to leave on a free transfer. He then went back to Brasil and helped Cruzeiro win a state championship, followed by the Brasilian Cup, and finally the Brasilian League. This had never been done before, nor has it been acheived since. He won Brasilian footballer of the year and was universally recognized as the best player in the country (at a time when both Kaka and Robinho were also there). In 2004 he transfered to Fenerbahce, and won the Turkish League (again recognized as the best player). This year, he has a chance to make it a double and is very close to doing so.

In the last three years, over 220 games, he has been averaging .53 goals and .56 assists. This year, his averages are of .53 goals and .78 assists per game.

Inexplicably, Parreira is not his biggest fan... so he rarely gets a good run in the national team, but the last time he did (at the Copa America / South American championship in 2004), he scored 1 goal and made 7 assists in 5 games and helped Brasil win the title over Argentina. It's a shame because Alex and Ronaldinho are devastating together.

I honestly don't know if a better passer exists in the world today.
