What in the fecking hell was he thinking??

He's made so many mistakes over the past season its difficult to see how he's in the fecking 'Elite' panel.

He's ruined what could have been a decent final.

feck off.

On a different note, I never thought I'd see a cricketer named Dimitri.

'I'm calling you to tell something terrible has happened. It's a friendly call...ofcourse it's a friendly call'

He is one of the top umpires around, not the best but he has established himself in the top bracket. As with any refereeing decision its part of the game and he is only human - he will make the odd mistakes now and then.

He isn't exactly known as a dodgy ref and hasn't had that many high profile mistakes through his umpiring career. The only times I can think of such a situation was once against England (early in his career) and at the end of the recent World Cup Final (all those officials involved will not be appearing in the next ICC tournament - Twenty20 - as punishment).

Devil_3565 - I think there is an elite level but this is just the ICC international umpires that are used across the world to officiate. It has the top umpires in and is likely to include Aleem Dar as it involves all those that officiate top level test-matches and one day internationals. Other more controversial characters like Darrell Hair have been struck off I think - mainly due to the scenes at the Oval.

Got a lot of respect for Aleem Dar, but everyone does make mistakes
