Another stricker had quoted that United is showing interest in this Mallorca stricker.
Anybody seen him play?

What is his price? All I know is he is expensive.

I posted abt him bfore end of last season after Cole went off ... He has a thunderous left foot shot and strongly built ... I think he will be a good buy but the problem is - he's an up-coming star in Spain and everybody know it ... I would say he could rate just a bit less than Morientis for that sense - probably in 12mil range ... that's out of our touch I am afraid !!

Oppss.....striker l meant! <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

If there is a pricey tag over his head, unlikely United would buy him though.

do we have a price estimate in terms of beef weight barter yet or would that be asking too much?

Actually, it seems I spoke too soon, if TribalFootball have these quotes right:

Real Mallorca striker Albert Luque says he still has options of moving outside of Spain this season.
While negotiations between his club and Deportivo La Coruna continue, the Spanish international has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal over the last fortnight.

"I still have not signed with anyone," he said after training yesterday.

"The story with Depor is hot, but it has more to do with them than Mallorca."

Depor have offered £10 million plus Turu Flores for Luque, though there are offers on the table from other clubs.

"We have analyzed the situation," the striker continued.

"Depor is an option, but is not the only one. Other clubs are involved and we are studying these offers at the moment.

"We will decide which one is best as much for the club as for myself."

He added, "There's been much talk about Depor, but there are other clubs ... and I do not discard playing in a foreign country."
