He's at it again... The other two commentators singing our praise. As soon as he takes over the commenty; "the referees favour United at Old Trafford...".

Tosser.

Has to try and put everything down. Basically saying Verón's goal was only down to poor positioning (forget the fact no keeper in the world could of saved it).

Tosser.

He has been quite complimentary since - said we were playing very well, and raved about O'Shea. How hard must that be for him?

Alan "good face for radio" Green. (See Sid, I'm remembering......)

He worships O'Shea.

Before half-time, he took back all his comments about Barthez being shit.

made me laugh them all whinging about defoe's goal!

they seem to have forgot the one he scored against us only a few weeks ago was offside and clearly cost us 2 points that would have us top now!

Time for some objectivity I think.Undoubtedly,Man Utd were easily the better side playing some fine attacking moves at times.Thoroughly deserved their win and, arguably, could have been by a wider margin had RVN not been quite so profligate.
However,I watched the match and Defoe was clearly played onside and the goal should have stood(confirmed by the replay and by the SKY Sports commentators).I also think Defoe, anywhere else, would have earned a penalty when clattered into by Neville (the uglier one,if that's possible)early in the first half ,but as they say,you sometimes get them, you sometimes don't.

Anyway, all academic, but at least Green was right to say that the decisions (as is often the case at OT) in those 2 respects anyway, were clearly favouring the home side.

Did it make any difference ? I doubt it,the margin of performance between you and the Happy Hammers was quite obvious (I do fear for their survival and Roeder needs some luck if he is to avoid the chop)...........but you never know.....goals change games...don't they ;)

jollopie

do u still think we wont make the 1/4 finals of europe and do u think we are still in decline even though we are the most in form team in all of europe?

;)

I reckon the linesman was unsighted by the WH player nearest to him and didn't see the defender playing Defoe onside. Simple as that, bad luck for the Hammers and that's how it goes when your at the bottom. But I ain't cryin', remember the year they played a blinder and stopped us winning the title, effectively? Cnuts!

Just hope he enjoys the drive back to Maccelsfield from Sunderland tonight. Perhaps he'll phone in his comments to Radio 5 on the game.

"Hello Alan ? You're a Liverpool fan who wants to talk about the game at the Stadium of Light"

(Blubbering noise is heard at the other end of the line)

"Hello - Alan ? Alan ?"

Green is running a debate about his team on 5 Live. 90% of the Scousers seem to want Houllier out. Unanimous agreement that Biscan and Scmitser are crap.

Davo? Softlad?
