Mighty Man just won the first, six left today.

Exotic Dancer and Turpin Green who finished second and third in the Gold Cup respectively, are in the next. Though Aintree is a whole different beast to Cheltenham, and it's running fast if the last race is anything to go by.

Looking ahead to the big race on Saturday, i had my biggest win ever last year, Numbersixvalverde, now that was something, perfect. Haven't placed any bets yet this year, normally i have picked one by now but i'm hovering at the minute.

Number6 and Hedgehunter are likely to run well and make the frame but I reckon the favourite Joe's Edge (19/2) or *** Doire (20/1) will make the weight advantage pay.

Got a tip in the 16:40 at Southwell.

The Tinker Man @ 6/1

If any of you were following the Cheltenham thread, it comes from that same builder, so a similar advisory applies. ;)

Hope none of you went for that tip, as eachway or not, you would've lost. I did, though not too badly. :)

As for the big one, well i've gone for three in the Grand National myself, might dive in and pick another late on but i doubt it.

Joes Edge
Le Duc
Mckelvey

I had Numbersixvalverde last year, first time i'd won for a few years, so i'd be happy enough if one of those finished in the places.
