hopefully the lost is a kick in the teeth to the lads and hopefully start to deliver the sort of form we as fans want.

I have already heard plenty of the same things before. After we lost to Real and Bayen in CL someone said it's a kick in the teeth (or somewhere else). After we lost to the Pool for the 4th or 5th time they said the same. After we went out of FA Cup they said the same. After we got only 3rd in league last season they also said the same. If all of them are true then I think most players should no longer have any tooth in their mouths now! :p

To be honest, I already found this "a kick at the arse" is no longer working anymore since last season. Keano was right. When the players are so rich and in such a comfort zone, what thing can hurt them anymore?

Losing their place in the first team would be a start

I hate to say it but Giggsy looks off the pace, Mickey has had a few poor matchs recently and we need to decide how the defense is going to play. If Larry is going to play we can't defend high up the pitch, if we are going to play John O'Shea then we can afford to push the defense up. Not a mix of the 2

But I think Micky was indeed our best defender yesterday. If someone must be dropped, I would consider Giggs, Veron and Ruud.

And replaced by whom? Our most glaring deficiency is we lack decent replacements for off-form first teamers.
