A substandard bag of meat and bones.
Kicks off at 11am, team news to follow. West Brom have own their last 3 games so should be a good test.

Edited ;)

1. Devlin
2. Fornasier
4. Thorpe
5. Wootton
3. McGinty
7. Cole
6. Tunnicliffe
8. Pogba
11. Ajose
9. Cofie
10. W Keane

Subs:
12. Lingard
14. Morrison
15. Giverin

Good to see Cofie, Fornasier and Morrison involved again.

Fornasier returns at right back, Pogba and Tunnicliffe in the middle, Cofie and Keane up front. Morrison yet again on the bench.

West Brom:

1. Allsop
2. Gayle
5. Downing
6. Malcolm
3. Waghorn
7. Berahino
4. Mantom
8. Thorne
11. Brown
9. Wood
10. Elford-Alliyu

Subs:
12. Lynch
13. Tebbutt
14. Grier
15. Connolly
16. Mannnion

Looks like Berahino and Elford-Alliyu are the dangermen.

Berahino and Elford-Alliyu are both very good but I'd say Wood is the dangerman - not often you face someone who has 14 first-team appearances under his belt. He's a New Zealand international too and will probably go to the World Cup, don't get that often in the academy league...

Great goal by Pogba.

Any idea why Davide Petrucci is not involved at all?

They didn't give any reason, just said he'd hopefully be back for Thursday.

Surprised Sam Johnstone isn't getting a look-in lately. Not that Devlin's been poor, far from it, but they started out rotating the two of them, and yet Johnstone hasn't played since the end of September and rarely even makes the bench.

I was wondering that too, unusual to have no keeper on the bench. We rarely seem to have a full complement of subs at Academy games, Michael Keane hasn't been seen for a long time either.

2-0 Tunnicliffe with a well aimed low drive just inside the post from outside the box after being set up well by Keane.

Berahino blazes wide from a position he should have hit the target from at least. 2-0 is a little flattering to us.

Wonder if Johnstone's maybe playing on the other pitch with the 16s - think Michael Keane has been from what I've heard.

We've been pretty good. I think we're watching one or two..maybe three future united players here today :)

Maybe more, you never know but the potential is high injury permitting. Great goal from pogba

I was wondering where Petrucci was too, any chance he'll be playing for the reserves soon?

They showed him at the match but commentators seemed to be hoping he would be fit for the Youth cup game, rather than having any info that he would be fit.

Pogba really does seem to have it all.

Pogba looks a player!

If he manages to stay clear of injuries and continues to develop at a this rate, he could become something special. And he already is in age group.

WB just scored, shot from the edge of the area into the far corner.

2-1 FT

Disappointing 2nd half from us, we dropped off the pace and went more into a holding pattern and let West Brom have too much possession. We defended well and Devlin again was impressive, having no chance for the goal.

yep. We should have created more then we did and wba were very strong in the second half. We could easily have lost today though most of their chances were from long rage

That said, both our goals were too. We had the better of the first, them the second.

Stand out player. SAF will have trouble holding this lad back in a year or two

How were Tunnicliffe, Cole and Keane? Did Fornasier and McGinty contribute anything offensively?

Tunnicliffe was very good and broke up the game well as usual and himself and Pogba are getting a very good partnership. Cole was a bit over powered by the bigger west brom midfielders and struggled to get into the game and went off at half time and Keane was his usual classy self on the ball and laid off the pass for Tunnicliffes goal but was fairly starved of service.

I rate Tunnicliffe I gotta admit. Him and pogba are an ideal partnership. Cole was ok but we mainly got our width/attacking thrust from Ajose. Keane linked up well enough but was a tough game for him

Fornasier and Mcginty did ok but again i think Ajose was the main man today interms of attacking the fullbacks either side. That said Fornasier had just come back from a knock and Mcginty got a booking early on so maybe these things effected them going forwards somewhat
