Delayed kick off, was due to start at 11am but because of the frozen pitch at Carrington, it has just kicked off now. Should be a good match, would hopefully be a great way to react to going out of the FA Youth Cup in midweek.

Quite a few changes to the side, Reece Brown and Davide Petrucci are out through injury.

Starting line-up:

1. Johnstone
2. Massacci
3. Ajose
4. Wootton
5. McGinty
6. Tunnicliffe
7. Cole
8. Pogba
9. Cofie
10. Keane
11. Hussain

Quite annoyed MUTV cut into a compilation of Solskjaer goals to start the coverage of this :D

Stronger team than I expected.

It's 0-0 after about 25 mins. Not a lot of goalmouth action so far, the best chance falling to Will Keane from an excellent cross from the left from Hussain but he seemed to get a bit in front of the ball and it appeared to hit his shoulder.

Liverpool have only really threatened from set pieces.

United are having problems getting into a rhythm. Liverpool having all of the play without really creating much.

Pitch is also very hard for any slick passing.

We look knackered, unsurprisingly. Liverpool the better side but we're defending doggedly. Shame Keane couldn't have taken one of his chances to give us a lead to defend.

0 - 1 Full time

Far better 2nd half but struggled to create a clear chance and Liverpool looked far more threatening as they started to go long to Dalla Valle, and also should have had a pen.

Disappointing few days but they showed some charachter 2nd half and spirit but just came up short.
