A substandard bag of meat and bones.
Not live unfortunately - highlights on MUTV tomorrow night.

The team is:

Johnstone, M.Keane, Fryers, Thorpe, Fornasier, Pogba, Lawrence, Cole, W.Keane, Lingard, Blackett.

Subs: McGinty, Coll, Wilson, Ekangamene.

Good to see Lawrence back. Wilson played in the Premier Cup this year I think (the lad who did he somersault when he scored?)

Thought Lindegaard is playing as a striker.

3-0 down now, that's the second penalty WBA have scored. Wilson is on for his début.

EDIT: Lingard pulls one back almost straight away via a big deflection. 1-3.

Pogba with another screamer, wow! Shame it's already extra time.

Edit: full time, we lost. Shame, really... We can expect this team away against Liverpool in FA Youth Cup 6th round if we beat Newcastle... And we probably won't be favorites.

It won't be this team as you'll have Van Velzen, Cofie, Morrison and Tunnicliffe to possibly bring in that gives you a far stronger midfield.

The league form has been patchy due to the lack of a settled side and the inconsistency of youth. With our best eleven playing I'd fancy us against anyone.

...and Charni also, he was on bench today, probably didn't play because he played against Rochdale... I wonder if Vermijl is available, we will need mutch more strenght im defence for Youth Cup clashes.

Charni isn't a regular for the Academy (and wouldn't get into the midfield ahead of Tunnicliffe, Pogba or Morrison) and Vermijl is too old.

Is he a striker? How did he do?

Edit: Nevermind, just noticed that it wasn't televised. Cool picture though.

Cheers. It's nice to see a few of the Premier Cup lads' names popping up in these match threads. I half expected Pearson to be the first one we'd see with the u18s after he went along to Malta last season, but I guess he might not be ready physically.
