Jacob is a new name to me.

We've done well to get a team out given the number of players missing through injury or international commitments:

Keane, Hussain, Tunnicliffe, Brady, Petrucci, King, Cofie (inj?), Morrison (inj?), Pogba, Johnstone, Massacci, Giverin, McGinty

And I've probably forgotten one or two

It seems we are going down the Benitez road of management - fielding teams full of nothing but defenders!

EDIT: and surely it would be better to move a defender to LB and Fryers onto the wing? Isn't that theoretically his preferred position?

Nah, he's a defender.

He regularly played centre-half when he was younger, certainly more often than on the wing as far as I know. He's very much a defender first, doesn't really contribute too much yet going forward.

That was another awful half to watch, the wind really makes these games a bit of a lottery sometimes. We're really lacking creativity as well, unsurprisingly given who's missing. Has been the case for the last few weeks, shame.

Great news regarding De Laet, they've just announced he should be back in full training very soon.

Woeful from the defender, Ajose was going nowhere and was just playing for the corner. Gratefully accepted though.

Will be a very impressive win this. Not an amazing performance by any means but to beat one of the best sides in academy football with all the players we have unavailable is a great result.

:)

He's done very well this year I think. Doesn't get the attention he deserves, particularly when stepping up to reserve level, he's done well. Coaching staff must be pleased with his development overall, if not his tache.
