A substandard bag of meat and bones.
The match is not live on MUTV so no streams.

Follow manutdreserves on Twitter for team news, updates etc. It appears that Will Keane may be involved and Ekangamene didn't break his nose so will be involved also.

Yep!

Team:
Coll
Massacci
Fornasier
McGinty
Giverin
Ekangamene
Lawrence
Daehli
Leao
Morrison
Van Velzen

Subs
Ridge
Sutherland (keeper)
Gorre
Wilkinson
W Keane

Wilkinson is a new name for me. First starts for Daehli and Leao

Lots for academy followers to be excited about here.

Leao, Daehli, Morrison, the return of Keane, getting to see the much talked about Gorre play, plus three players I hav never heard of who are presumeably u-16s.

Kenji Gorre, the son of Dean Gorre..
think he plays up top

why not on mutv

I havent seen Daelhi at all. What kind of a player is he?\

also, is Hendrie injured ?

Hendrie is injured.

Daehli is tiny, but looks like a creative attacking midfielder with very good technique and close control. Also a decent dribbler and got stuck in despite his size. Grew well into the game at the weekend.

It's all happening a bit too fast these days. The Victory Shield games, the Brazilians, Dæhli and now yet another couple of new names. My head hurts.

Annoyed that MUTV are not showing this live.

Highlights are on MUTV tomorrow at 4.30 according to the guide on tv.sky.com

Sounds like Leao is isolated up top. If you don't have many strikers fit, import a random Brazilian DM and shove him up there...

I think Wilkinson is Ryan Wilkinson - an U16 and a winger I think..

Heard of Jonny Sutherland but no idea who Ridge is?

Gorre is a winger too.

Will Keane's on for Leao who has had a quiet game, playing out of position.

Ridge.? Wasn't there a Jack Rudge with the u-14's a couple of years back. Might be him..

Ridge will be Jack Rudge, u16 midfielder. I'd have thought Wilkinson was Matthew Wilkinson, a defender, but jeston may be right (not heard of a Ryan Wilkinson personally).

Yeah Rudge is an U16 - doubt manutdreserves would get the name wrong though

edit: Or maybe he would, as PS18 says!

Easy to mis-type a text message when you're at Carrington/Moss Lane, believe me - the cold tends to numb the fingers!

Great return for Keane. Is the next game on monday?

So finishes 2-0 - Keane with a late tap in. Sunderland player sent off for dissent too.

Next game is I think Liverpool on monday, unless that's recently been postponed?

Dean Gorre's son (ex Southampton I think) who it was rumoured Chelsea were trying to nick. He's a dutch u16 international, an attacking midfielder I think.

ex Huddersfield Town, fecking superb midfielder. Hard as nails, great driving runs, excellent vision and passing ability.

One of Brucies' buys signed from Ajax, Macari sold him to Barnsley after a few seasons when he'd hit 30 and had had a few injuries.

If Kenji turns out as good a player he'll stand a great chance making it with a prem side.

From the highlights so far I've been impressed with Van Velsen. He looks to be settling in great and looking far stronger on the ball.

Daehli looks tidy, really good feet.

Nice one as always, G2. Is that Adnan Januzaj at 11:43?

Strange incident at the end, it seemed that a Sunderland player who had being having words with Morrison went to shake his hand, then didn't release it and Fornasier had to step in, then their keeper runs the length of the pitch to get in Morrison's face.

The only obvious thing that they might have had a grudge for was for Morrison not giving the ball back immediately, but it was all a bit odd and totally unnecessary. You wonder if teams are starting to target him a bit as he does get involved if provoked.

I think Rav was trying to wind the Sunderland player up after not giving the ball back - was told he was following the guy around shouting 'pass it to him, pass it to him'.
