A substandard bag of meat and bones.
Final game for the Academy away at the only team capable of snatching the league from us. We are currently 5 points clear and Everton have a game in hand, however any result but a loss will guarantee United the title.

Hopefully there will be somewhere online to follow the score. It would be great for the Acadamy to emulate the reserves success.

2-0 win, that does the trick. Keane and Morrison with the goals.

Had a text from someone who was there saying Cole got the second, might need to edit that post again...

Well done to the Academy for winning their group, will there be a playoff like the reserves team?

Yep, Arsenal at home this Saturday, final some time the following week.

U18s: Everton 0 United 2

Will Keane and Ravel Morrison were on target for United's Under-18s as the young Reds clinched the Premier Academy League Group C title with a decisive win away to fellow hopefuls Everton.

Paul McGuinness' side needed just a point in United's final game of the season, while Everton had to beat United and Manchester City in their remaining two games. But it was Keane, Morrison and co. who came out on top.

Keane put United in front in the first half, before Morrison added a second after the break to clinch all three points.

The win secures a place in the play-offs with the three other regional division winners to determine the destination of the overall Premier Academy League trophy.

The Reds have been drawn in a home semi-final tie against Arsenal, winners of Group A, for a chance to reach the final to decide the Premier Academy League winner outright.

United: Devlin; Brown, Thorpe, Wootton, Fryers; Ajose, Tunnicliffe, Morrison, Brady; Keane, King.
Subs: Johnstone, Fornasier, Cofie, Cole, Hussain.

How about the final. It is at a neutral ground?.

Too bad we won't get to play Leicester - their results have been so impressive it would be fun to meet them just to see how good they really are.

22 wins and 6 draws in their group is simply unbelievable

Another thing that crossed my mind - 11 out of 16 are english. Thats pretty impressive

:( I spoke to the fella that runs young gunners he said there would be a second leg at London Colney or perhaps Barnet's UnderHill.

Guess he was chatting shit then!

Pretty sure he is, the premierleague.com academy bulletin lists the semi-finals with United at home and mentions the final, no mention of a second leg anywhere.

The Arsenal game might be on Friday or Saturday, probably at Carrington, to be arranged tomorrow.

If we won, the final would be at Old Trafford on the 12th against either Notts Forest or Leicester.

Has the Arsenal game been confirmed yet?

I think that's the future for us; looking at mostly English talent with only a few of the best foreign youngsters

Open to the public?
United's Under-18s will play the Premier Academy League play-off semi-final against Arsenal at Carrington this Friday, kick-off 11:00 BST. It's a one-off tie, so if the scores are tied after 90 minutes, there'll be 30 minutes of extra time and penalties after that if the scores are still level. The winner will face either Nottingham Forest or Leicester City in the final next week. (BH)
from Today at Old Trafford.
I am sure it´s open, but I do not know.

Thanks man, im gonna go anyway.

Young Gifted and Red is on tomorrow I think so we should get some highlights on that I expect. Not sure if there'll be a proper highlights programme for it, there's definitely nothing before Friday's game and then straight after that they're showing highlights of that game at various intervals.
