A substandard bag of meat and bones.
United have a chance to win their Academy league today if they defeat Bolton who sit bottom of the table.

Team:

1. Johnston
2. Brown
4. Fornasier
5. Thorpe
3. McGinty
7. Ajose
6. Tunnicliffe
8. Pogba
11. Morrison
9. King
10. Keane

Subs:
12. Brady
13. Devlin
14. Fryers
15. Cofie
16. Cole

1-0 O'Halloran slides in at the far post to score across Johnstone. Lively game so far, United have had good passages of play but Bolton have looked more dangerous, culminating in the goal.

Poor first 15 minutes for McGinty - he has looked shaky in that position - and I assume Fryers might take his place at half-time

The Bolton keeper gets incredibly lucky after he spills an attempted through pass from Ajose into King's path, then brings him down only to be saved by the linesman's flag up against King.

King misses a great chance after McGinty crosses to him unmarked at the far post and he heads wide.

United have been on top since the goal, but Bolton defending well and their keeper hasn't had too much work to do.

Is McGinty playing left back? He looked quite steady at Centre back before.

1-1 HT

Quite a good game so far, some feisty challenges and good spells of football. Bolton started the better, but since the Keane equaliser United have dominated without being able to grab a 2nd goal. Bolton have defended well though and have threatened a few times on the break.

Morrisons defensive game seems to be coming on very well if the last couple of games are anything to go by

1 -1 FT

Great defensive performance from Bolton against a below par United. United looked a bit tired as a whole and struggled to break down a spirited Bolton side.

Yeah Bolton defended very well, particularly Bennett who saved them from 3-4 very dangerous situations.

United played ok. Morrison stood out, he is looking like a more mature player. He hardly ever gives the ball away and finds making space so easy.

5 points clear. 1 game left for us, two for Everton, we play them away on Tuesday. Point will do.

Top man. Bit cheeky, but I don't suppose there's any chance of the highlights from the Stoke away game being re-uploaded if you've still got them kicking around anywhere?
