Dear 8 pound 6 ounce new born baby Jesus, don't even know a word yet, please let Petrucci feature!
So? Scores? Lineups?
Apparently Kenji Gorre only turned 14 on September 29 so has 3 more years at this level. Cant remember too many 14 year olds playing for our under 18s he must be very highly rated
Lingard looks about 10 years old - was shocked when I saw him! Took his goal brilliantly though.

U18s: United 3 Blackburn 2
United overcame a decent Blackburn Rovers side and difficult conditions at Carrington to sign off the 2008/09 Academy League season with a fine victory.
Nicky Ajose scored with a superb second-half shot to settle an entertaining game for Paul McGuinness' young team, having created goals in the first period for debutant Jesse Lingard and his strike partner Joshua King.
Lingard's goal came after just six minutes; receiving Ajose's measured pass into the area, the new boy wrongfooted two Blackburn players including the goalkeeper Swann before slotting the ball home.
Despite this early setback, Blackburn went on to dominate much of the first half and use the swirling winds to their advantage with some long-range shots testing United keeper Conor Devlin. One such effort from Banton in the 15th minute beat the young Irishman, only to strike the crossbar.
Rovers only had to wait a while longer for the first of their two equalisers, Banton slipping the ball into the box for Tom Hitchcock to finish with a low shot inside Devlin's left-hand post.
The scores stayed level at 1-1 until one minute before the break when Ajose raced to the right-wing byline and cut the ball back across the six-yard box for King to convert at the far post, albeit off the keeper who parried the shot but ultimately couldn't prevent it crossing the line.
If United's 2-1 lead was slightly against the run of play, then Rovers addressed this when Hitchcock grabbed his second goal shortly after half-time, stretching out a foot to poke Banton's left-wing cross beyond Devlin's dive.
The best goal was saved until last, Ajose firing in a stunning 25-yard shot midway through the second half to win the match 3-2 for the Reds and provide a memorable end to the season for some promising young players.
United: Devlin; Brown, Thorpe, Wootton, Fryers; Ajose, Brady, Cole, Gorman; Lingard, King. Subs: Morrison, Giverin, Keane, Barmby, Gorre.
I think he turned 15 about a month ago. Barmby might still be 14.
How did the u16 lads do then?
Michael Potts did.... he played for Blackburn against us yesterday!
So playing for the u-18 team at 14 doesn´t say everything.
Great goal by Lingard.
Barmby (who only turned 14 a few months back, won't be a scholar until 2011) is a winger, didn't have too much chance to shine, looked a skilful kid though. Gorre had even less opportunity, another attacking player who played mainly out wide, looked comfortable on the ball, not too much else to say as he didn't really feature a great deal in the quarter of an hour or so he got.
Lingard started very brightly, took his goal wonderfully (hopefully someone can get a video) and was very involved, but Blackburn took control of the first half and he faded a bit. Clearly very talented but still so tiny, although to be fair to him he wasn't exactly bullied off the ball too often.
Gorman was... ineffective wide left in the first half, didn't really get into the game. Moved to left-back in the second half and did pretty well.
Fryers and Thorpe did well at the back, best I've seen Zeki play for the 18s, they were up against a very decent front line. Fryers was especially good second half when moved inside to centre-half. Larnell Cole was pretty tidy in central midfield, has nice touch and composure, another one who's a bit small though, ws outfought occasionally, but not for want of trying. Morrison did well when he came on, we've all seen plenty of him though.
King and Ajose were the stand-outs in general, Ajose was involved in everything and has been pretty impressive lately, King is a really intriguing prospect I think. His pace is incredible, he destroyed the Blackburn defence a few times yesterday even after giving them big headstarts, he's powerful, knows where the goal is, really looking forward to seeing how he progresses next season.
Potts being released from our academy was more to do with attitude than a lack of ability though wasnt it?
Perhaps. I do not know. But even that shows s that there are a lot of traps to fall into for youths.
Potts being released from our academy was more to do with attitude than a lack of ability though wasnt it?
That's totally untrue!
He was released for footballing reasons not attitude reasons!
Is that No 15 one of the Keane twins?
