Peach of a cross from Galbraith, Wootton couldn't really miss.

Yeah, I know he's been back for a while but it's great to see Galbraith playing on the wing again. He's a talented player, great cross.

Penalty to Leeds, Conor Devlin makes an absolute mess of it. Dropped the cross and then brings down the man.

1-1, Hatfield (pen) 11'. Into the top corner.

Goal for Leeds penalty given away by devlin after he messed up by dropping a cross

Someone explain to me how the academy system works.

This site says this is a academy league group c game:
http://manunitedyouth.wordpress.com/academy/academyfixtures0809/

But the premier league website has us in group c and leeds in group d:
http://www.premierleague.com/page/YouthCTable

You play everyone in your group home and away and then ten 'inter-group' matches which vary from season to season.

Probably my fault for listing the games as ***AL Grp C on the site, should be just ***AL.

2-1 to them after 37 mins, similar goal to our opener in many respects - great left-footed cross from the right-wing, easy header.

We've really lost our way since giving away (and then conceding from) the penalty. Haven't really put anything together going forward, Leeds dominating the game physically.

Their #7 looks like a right tosser already, horrible tackle on Moffatt earlier and he's mouthing off and kicking the ball away, somehow not booked yet.

2-2, Robbie Brady with a freekick. Dodgy keeping it must be said, much better start for the Reds this half though.

Brady and King are on for for Galbraith and Brandao. I'm live-updating with a bit more regularity at http://www.twitter.com/ManUnitedYouth if anyone's bothered.

3-2 United, Josh King! Great header, lovely move involving Brady and Ajose.

4-4 now :D

Leeds equalised after some sloppy defending, then Tunnicliffe put us back ahead on 83 mins, then Leeds scored a great freekick on 86.

Devlin's just pulled off two top saves to keep it level.

He had a strange game. Nightmare for the first Leeds goal, wasn't convinced at all by the walls he lined up for numerous Leeds freekicks and he nearly got lobbed when coming for a throughball and finding himself in no mans land.

On the flipside, he made a few really good saves, one in particular in the last minute from their #9 was sensational, close range, terrific reflexes to get fingertips on it and earn us a point.

All kicked off a bit at the final whistle, Ryan Tunnicliffe having to be restrained. Looked like he felt he'd been headbutted by one of the Leeds players.

Was a very feisty game, lots of tough challenges coming in, not sure the United lads were entirely happy with the refereeing (quite justifiably).

That niggly nature to the game probably cost United the win in the end, gave away too many freekicks around the edge of the box late on and one eventually went in to make it 4-4.

Yeah like i've mentioned before the predictions of this lads career caught my attention but he's faltered since...

Do you think Sam Johnstone will replace Devlin as the Under 18s number 1 next season?

Hope Conor pulls through but it would seem thatway wouldn't it?

Not seen enough of Johnstone to say conclusively one way or the other, but I've been very impressed with what I have seen of him, he seems to have the sort of presence Devlin lacks.

To be honest I've never really seen anything that marked him out as one to watch in the same way as someone like Ben Amos. He's a very good shot-stopper but the other areas of his game are lacking.

Class twitterin', PS.

One of you lucky fecks who got to see this seemingly thrilling game should really treat us lesser folk to full player ratings. With great privilege etc. Failing that, how did Brown, Tunnicliffe and King do?

Brown was quick and strong and intelligent.
Tunnicliffe thought he'd scored the winner..again.
King will turn out to be some player judging by what I have seen of him. Caused them all sorts of problems with his power and pace from the moment he came on.

Brady is starting to look a player IMO. Did well initially when he joined from St. Kevins but was only played on the wing. This year he seems to have come alot and of late Ive only seen him playing in the middle which seems to suit him alot.

Hard to judge young keepers at the best of times. Generally every last one of them will throw in a dodgy performances. Devlin certainly has work to do on some aspects but his shot stopping is still pretty impressive if you ask me.

Thanks. Apart from the goal, how was Tunnicliffe's performance?

Agree with you there Brady is starting to live upto the hype and has started to score goals aswell. He seems to be very highly rated by the club since hes been involved quite often with the reserves even though he has a year left at academy level. He has always worked very hard but now he is starting to look a lot classier on the ball like he did for St. Kevins

Any highlights floating around the interweb thingy?
