AC/DC FLOODS THE NET

Sony have reportedly attempted to combat the expected internet piracy of AC/DC’s new album – by flooding the internet with fake and huge downloads.

Undercover News reports that a huge number of fake files and long downloads under the name Black Ice have been flooding Torrent websites over the past couple of weeks, and while the origins of the files is unknown, some suspect foul play by the record label.

The move appears to have outraged a number of “fans” who claim that the move is a cynical corporate one by the band and label who are forcing them to buy the new album.

Could this be the start of a fight-back by one of the major record companies against piracy.
