After having stated that I doubted Veron would ever make it here through last season, and this one as well, it is in place for me to eat my hat and congratulate the lad.

He has been wonderful this season, and I truly hope his stamina is on track now.

Congratulations to you Veron! You deserve all the credit you can get. You have shown rock hard determination. You deserve to be counted amongst our better players this season.

Ver'on our way :) ;) :D

He has been poor earlier this season. But since the Arsenal's match, he has become a completely different player. He closes down the opponents quickly, engages in hard tackles, and stop doing too many ambitious passes and keep things simple. This is the first time he had three consecutive good matches after he joined us. This performance and his determination to change his game in order to suit us surely deserves credit.

I'm still not convinced he has a hope of getting a place in midfield when Keane, Butt and Beckham return to full fitness. His performances in the last couple of games have been an improvement but to quote that he has been "wonderful" all season is not accurate.

Seba has had a mediocre season up til now in the Premiership. However, it is clear that recently his desire to start bossing the game when he can is to the fore. He would be thinking about all the competition for midfield places and wants to really show the manager and everbody else what he is capable of.

I think the pin is really dropping now for Seba, too - the Premiership is a place where it is better to go for the tried and trusted rather than the elaborate or flukey which often doesn`t come off. I have enjoyed watching the new, regulator Veron in action.

Long may it continue!

I'm worried about his effectiveness once Beckham and Keane return to the starting line-up.

Keane will assume the role of the midfield leader the way Veron likes to.

Beckham will be taking the corners and free kicks and will even make the occasional longball.

So we may be back to where we started. A frustrated Veron with a diminished role. He will only have the task of trying to play the killer ball, which leaves his other talents unappreciated.

Veron has played maybe 6-8 decent games for us, you can hardly call that a raving success.

I think if his reign of good form continues for a while then maybe we can start getting excited.

He does deserve some credit for his recent form though, as does the whole team, especially scholes and P.Neville who have really been the driving force lately.

It really does seem though that there is a lazy streak in this team though - it took a disgracefull defeat to man city and a lot of pressure from the fans and media before they finally picked up the intencity. My biggest fear is that after winning a few games some of this lazyness will creep back in.

i'd rather sell Becks than Veron.

Thumbs up for Veron for pulling the strings together while Keano isn't there. Thumbs up for being a freekick specialist as well (we don't need Becks).

Veron is more of a player who can win games for us. He makes a huge difference if he's playing well or not.

While i'd prefer the old Becks, whose style was an out and out winger and his deadly crosses together with Giggsy down the left make them the world's best flank players.

But now, Becky seem to be going for individualism and sometimes u have to admit he was disrupting the team play. I have to agree with John Barnes on that Greece game. And i can't agree more on yesterday's game. I saw Becky in central, right, left, almost everywhere. And many local papers as well as ESPN pundits were saying Man Utd lost the space and creativity at the right when Becks replaced Ole in the 2nd half.

Anw, don't sell anyone Fergie. You shall soon discover there's still many gems in the team that are either unpolished or undiscovered. People like Fortune, Phil, O'Shea, and even Ole Solskjaer.. you shall discover that they can perform beyond what you know of them.

I think veron has been subjected to nasty crticism. Some stupid premier ship tabl's(fans too)
says he is not scoring goals.Cmon how can a midfielder score goals.how many goals zidane or
ruicosta or aimar socre in a season 3,4 or 6,7.
I think except against villa,fulham,everton
and mancity veron was fantastic in all other
matches. Some fans take note of him now bcos he scores goals.cmon educate urdelf

He's had a blinder in 2 league matches. One of which is the "bread and butter" sort that he should be producing regularly in.

While he's done well so far, he's got a ways to go before he gets player of the season.

Come on Seba.

He's certainly winning everyone over. He owes us a few more top notch games yet mind. But finally we're seeing Veron look like a Man Utd player. Top marks, and here's to him playing like this for the rest of the season.

Personally I think he'll be great as long as we're playing well. He's a creative player who is shining now the whole team is more confident. If we suffer another dip in form he's not the sort to dig us out. IMHO.

concerned for becks.i would bench him for now and tell him to remove his head from his arse, lose the silly hair and remember that he's a footballer. ole's been outstanding on the right, doing beck's job superbly as well as using his astonishing understanding with ruud.i'd keep him in till he needs a rest. i've felt for some time now that becks has become a bit ponderous and predictable which goes against the principle of moving the ball quickly - a cornerstone of the way united play.i really think his celebrity is weighing heavily on him and that his football is suffering for it. it's a real shame, because at his best he's a truly great player, and we need him.what do people think?
