A Tough Question for you Mancs......

0-0 draw with lots of suspensions and injuries will do just fine.

Liverpool. It's clear that the scousers aren't going to be in it come May and we need to catch up with you lot quickly. I'll take a crappy 1-0 win with a few red and yellow cards handed out.

Fair enough response.Despite your loathing for all things Scouse,it's the points deficit you need to eat into. But tell me...do you really think they can win sunday (I know anything can happen in a one off)but they look pretty poor to me at the moment. What is their recent record? 2pts from 24 ??....or something like that ??

You werent exactly convincing against West Brom either, granted you got the points.

I dont think they will win, but they can.

True,we're not really firing on all cylinders but we did play some pretty good football at times. The good news for us is that Bergkamp will play sunday although Freddie is out with the flu.

Freddie has been diabolical this season.

Dippers will sneak a 1-0 win, or Dippers will be torn to shreds. Don't care either way, even tho' i would like to see the first one just a teeny bit more.

You are clearly the better team and I would expect you to get a draw at least - but it's a one off and you have not been too hot against teams that "throw their weight about". With Stevie "Two Foot" and Emile "I can't score but it still hurts when I kick you" not too mention that Oaf Hypia I think they will make their mark on you lot one way or another.

Yes it could be a physical encounter...though Heskey is out injured according to reports, which actually might be more of a boon for the Scousers.

Liverpool, without a doubt.

They managed a draw last season with only one shot on target from Riise, so you never know.

A draw will do nicely, but if one team should win, I would prefer that it was Liverpool, as Arsenal is topping the table at present.

Draw would be nice, it's just a point and it's not a scouse win

Arsenal are favourites to win the league and wanting Liverpool to beat anyone is something i find hard to do

So a draw = good enough for me

That is rather arrogant wouldn't you say? I sure as hell would rather see Pool win, only to watch Wenger walk off the pitch in a huff and then bitch and moan to the press about how unimpressed he was at Liverpool's defence or whatever. You bet your ass anything can happen on any given day. How nice of you to remember that.

Pretty easy. Liverpool's form has been so bad recently. Hopefully they fluke a win in a boring game. Then they can continue their recent form and get relegated.

As poor as we looked against City? And look what happened next.

a draw or a arsenel 1-0, hoping we win today it will still be 7 pts and the mickies should be out of the race.
and a chelsea win next week would be nice could be down to 4 pts
happy new year!!!!!!!!!!!

a draw, but there is a huge brawl in the game and both teams get deducted points.

Obviously Arsenal get deducted more because they've got 'form'.

And of course Wenger doesn't see any of it.

No, buddy! Cannot allow ourselves to get into a mathematical problem. Our problem at this time is Arsenal. And we need them to lose for us to make up ground on them. And if that means Liverpool need to beat them, then, by all means do let's have Liverpool getting the better of them. We should take care of our own business though, at the same time, this way we will never have to worry about Liverpool. :D

You've got to say Livershite. 7pts on New Years day is a lot but on the other hand Livershite losing would almost certainly put them out of the race.
Given the fact that we still have to go to Highbury i'd rather be 4 pts behind by tomorrow night.

Today i am gonna be supporting the dippers for the first time, Arsenal are slowing getting away and i don't think Chelsea will last the distance, the gap needs to be closed quickly, the arse aren't like liverpool are newcastle who will be willing to be give up a 10+points lead at the top, they aren't gonna give up first place without a fight.

I'll be supporting the dippers today.

I'd like a draw. If Liverpool wins, it could launch them again in the course and give them the confidence they haven't.

My own feeling is that Arsenal is a team that collapses everytime you kick them hard enough (like we did).

If the dippers are up for it they may sneak a 1-0 win, and Wenger will have to wipe that smug grin off his ugly face. And Gillespie will shut up.

Good enough result from Utd's perspective. I thought the arse showed in the 2nd half once more that they can be intimidated out of a game - while the scouse showed plenty of passion without any real quality - oh and didn't Owen look cute wearing that nice suit in the 2nd half......

1-1 it is a good resultat for United. But it had been better if Liverpool has won.
Go United go

Well,a 1-1 draw ...predictable really. Not too unhappy with a 5 pts lead at the top,as I'm sure you Mancs would appreciate :D ,I think Chelsea on wednesday could be a tough one for us.You should get a cricket score against Sunderland (my tip for the drop)The Title race really starts now !!

I stand corrected. It's impossible to shut you up. ;)
