Besides, it would spoil fred's fun too.
Hmm I guess it would spoil the eventual hilarity that ensues when they are caught red handed.

An IP check isn't the most reliable of methods. Apparently, even a 2 year old knows how to use proxies.
(Note to self: Must learn how to use proxies to become smarter than the average 2 year old.)

All newbies are rigorously checked, a significant number of new registrations don't even make the newbies.

Torres should never have been promoted. I think he was banned for some distasteful Munich comments - a few of his aliases had since been banned. The points system seems to have worked in his favour.
He'll be on every mods radar.
