A Prophet

Yeah, it was really good. The cinematography was great as were the acting performances, especially from the guy who played Malik (Tahar Rahim).

Going to see it in smithfield at 5.40 today just because all my mates said it was good.

I actually want to see this, but our closest cinema showing it is Covent Garden. The perils of living in South-East, I suppose. When something gets a limited release it always goes to London and they decide we're close enough not to bother. It was the same with The Hurt Locker, which I really wanted to see but couldn't justify forty pound train tickets in order to do so.

Sults, not sure about this but the film might be a bit offensive to you. The hero's journey deliberately echos Muhammad's in Medina, but although he's a sympathetic character he is also a criminal.

I see! Thanks.

I'm too naive with all this downloading business. Despite Hectic sending me a link I was unable to download the film.

Which part did you struggle with? It's definitely something that can be resolved!

Watched this last night and was glued to the screen for 2 and a half hours. Really gritty.

Highly recommended.

Great performances from the lead and in a surprising turn Anthony Worrall Thompson as the prison gangster boss.

Haven't seen it, and to be honest I'm a bit sick of all these films about the perils of capitalism

Watched it last night and it was really very good indeed. I think you have the wrong idea about it MR.
