Robert Altman's last film

Fecking great. Brilliant script and acting and all beautifully woven together by Altman. Keillor, Streep, Kevin Kline, Lindsey Lohan and Woody Harrelson are all a joy to watch.

This is what films all the gentle, quirky films like The Royal Tennenbaums would be, if they only had a lighter touch and were generally about ten times better
 
I love Altman films. I must see short cuts again. I really loved that film when it came out.

She started out as cute and loveable in teen movies like the latest Herbie movie, that body swapping one with Jamie Lee Curtis and Mean Girls. She then went into a Britney Spears type drink, drugs binge and gashout stage played out in the tabloids that seems to have replaced people's impression of her as an actress.
 
I liked it.

My three friends who only agreed to rent it because Woody Harrelson was on the cover was a bid disappointed however.
 
The series of books by Garrison Keillor are worth a read too. I don't know if he still does the weekly radio show or not though.
 
every Sat night at 6pm EST. he's still very good at what he does.

Keillor also does a poetry stint for a few minutes every weekday on the radio at about 7am EST.
