Veron and Forlan took a lot of stick last season for failing to deliver, and have both admitted so with Veron talking of his catastrophic year and Forlan promising to score goals. Well they certainly seem determined to show us what they can do, they're the stars so far of pre-season. Forlan has started scoring as well as contributing a lot to the overall play and was Fergie's star man last night. And Veron has been showing how good a passer he can be, as well as scoring a goal. Bodes well for the new season!

Apparently your czech flop has been doing well too, now that he's lost his beer belly. ;)

A big season for both of them!
Veron has got a lot to prove to himself, and the world, this season, and I think that we may see the best of him!
Give Forlan time! Uraguay to England is a big change, in lifestyle and football. Hopefully, the adjustment phase is over, and he will produce consistently the talent that we glimpsed last season.
:D

Yes, he was shocking in his 20 mins of first team action last season... ;)

I agree i think JSV and FORLAN will be aiming to prove a point and so far (pre-season) its looking good but i'm expecting for the whole squad to be doing likewise as they should be hungry after a barron season. KEANEO i'm sure will also love to show MM and the FAI what they missed/are going to miss not that he needs to, but it will be fecking great to see him EVEN-more fired up!

Talking about Baros. He has been a revelation in preseason. Might push heaskey out of the team. Definitely a better player than Forlan!

Forlan is definitely showing obvious progress recently. He may develop into a very good link-up player between our midfield and forward and I think he will be very useful to us in the new season.

veron just have to regain his performances before last christmas, I've been watch back to his performances from his goal in the Ryan Giggs testimonial game vs Celtic to his freekick in the vs Bolton game. I'm keen to say that he was the best midfielder in the EPL. I wonder what happen to him after that, maybe he was saving his strength for the World cup or what, he just can't coordinated enough into the games. I think he didn't manifest his abilities he had when I saw him running around the midfields and did a lots of back-passes. I hope that in the next seasons he can proves himselve with skills which he already have.

And who said that Forlan is not good enough? I think he just not given enough time to play. Altough he failed to score in last season, i saw him got a very ball controlling techniques and will be getting more better if he put in more killer instinct in finishing. Altough I'm not a Liverpool fan, I think Milan Baros is good too, but it just hard to compare him and Forlan because they were striker with different playing styles. Forlan is more like a supporting striker and Baros is better in scoring.
