how about Jardel (Porto)? He has scored tons of goals! I think he'd be a good buy (if the price is under £15m)

JARDEL doesn't play for POTO anymore he left to go to GALA (turkey) but went back to portugal after a season to play for SPORTING.

He is a great stiker but it is no coincidence that he has always stayed in portugal, he is very up his own arse and has to be the STAR. i don't think he would fit at UNITED to be honest.

He is Brazilian...he'll be able to organise an EU passport quite cheap

HE might be a good signing...in that case we could play with RVN and Solskjaer as a starting partnership, but Jardel as a target man when RVN is injured...we have no one right now.

IMO we really need a striker with great pace, we need a bit more versatility up front. Ruud is quick but doesn't have top notch accel which is what counts.
I reckon we should go in for Crespo....
 
Jardel is a target man, similar to Ruud's style. We need something different, someone either have good skill and creativity (such as Sheri, Cantona), or someone who can tear defence by his pace.
