A New Game

I want a new game. I havent grown bored of Fifa, or EDF, but I have completed "Pure", and have a few other games to trade in, and want something new. Anyone got a recommendation? Facebreak I have heard is shite anyway, so thats out the window.
 
I have 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, DS and PC. But I dont have a particularly good gaming PC, so thats out of the question really..

Wow you have everything don't you! Do you work for the reviews you write? I mean as a permanent job?? I used to write for a newspaper they used to pay me per story...
 
No dont get paid, just get sent free games from time to time! I just have everything due to being a gadget head. Not so much I can tell you all about the specs of each system.
 
Earth Defense Force 2017 - not largely known, but it is amazing. Just plain good fun -

Ok, so, randomly when at my brothers great new flat he decides to pick up a game which he's had for a year and a bit, never played, and bought because it was a tenner. Most people would have never heard of it, a relatively old limited budget game from Japan with the "aliens" and "army" type approach. But this game is different, and something really special.

Earth Defence Force 2017 for the Xbox360 succeeds where other budget games have failed for 1 main reason. It kept the game, gameplay, story and everything else simple.

Within 3 minutes of putting in the disk, I was standing destroying giant ants from outerspace (and most of the surrounding city) with a huge rocket launcher. As a EDF agent, you repel and defeat enemy defeats with an array of weapons. Kills = item drops, and if your lucky, more weapons. Its what all games should be like. Simple, and most importantly, really, really fun to play.

If that doesn't make you interested, then I dont know what you want out of a game. After playing for 3 hours, me and my brother had completed 3% of the game - and of course, it does not get old for obvious reasons.

1. Weapons
2.Destruction
3.Giant Ants
4.Bigger weapons.

Anyway, keep an eye out for it. Its pretty rare, but well worth a £10 note.

and completed mass effect, enjoyed it though. Bit too much talking is the only downside.

Yup, not amazing graphics, no in depth storyline - just killing giant bug aliens. Great game.

Well if you wait a few weeks you will have Fable 2, Farcry 2, LBP, Dead Space, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Red Alert 3 all coming out in the space of about 3 weeks so might be worth saving your pennies
 
It is a good time to be a console owner :D especially when you add COD 5 to that list as well which I somehow missed out. I am back to playing good old Civilization on the PC to pass the time from now until the day Fable, Far Cry and Dead Space are all released on the same day

Haha, it is a good time. COD5 looks pretty amazing too, but I just hope it rises to the extrememly high expectations after COD4. I love sports games, so Madden, Tiger, Fifa all come out really close together, its a bit overwhelming!
 
Just been checking out those games on wiki...

and buggery tits... Red Alert 3 not going to be on ps3 by the looks of it, which blows, as doubt my PC will handle it. Looks AWESOME though.

Was the only one of those I was really excited about in your list lol

COD5 should be alright like, but going from Modern War to Old War seems backwards to me :(
 
I actually think I preferred the WW2 setting for COD. Just hope they bring back vehicles. Plus one of the perks is going to be attack dogs apaprently, which will just be fecking awesome.
 
Any ideas or good releases for this weekend? Never played Fable 2 before, but heard its good, and is out next friday?

No chance of getting PES, so please dont suggest! Is Brothers in Arms any good? Battlefield bad company? NBA Live 09? Tiger Woods 09?
