"In the best interests of all confused, current Manchester United supporters, Nike have announced that next year the Man Utd kit will feature a reversible shirt, similar to the current England shirt. One side will feature the existing Man Utd home kit but, once reversed, will transform into the current Arsenal home kit. This radical move is aimed specifically to pacify the Manchester United supporter who naturally expects his team to win all their home games and, at the very minimum, the Premiership. The new shirt will give the Man Utd supporter the opportunity to maximise his glory hunting potential by supporting whoever is likely to win the title. The new shirts are expected to go on sale in the Manchester United strongholds of Hampshire, Surrey, Essex and Kent in the close season.
For those supporters that are unable to wait that long they will be released to the "genuine supporters" from Malaysia, Papa New Guinea and Outer Mongolia within the next month.
Next season could also see Man Utd shirts featuring reversible Liverpool, Leeds and Chelsea kits depending on who is doing well at the time, although the plans for the AstonVilla reversible shirt have been scrapped since the appointment of Graham Taylor."

And I wonder where this ridiculous image of United fans came from?......

United have been the best supported team in England for donkey's years....

But we've only been succesful for the last ten years, I can't work this one out...

I've been going since 1971 and the only thing that's changed is the "jealous" perception of other fans that United fans are only there because of the success??????

Before our recent glory days we always had the most vociferous following away from home.....

But now that we're succesful, it seems the chattering masses just want to make up another stick to beat us with....

I suppose, maybe we should be flattered....... ........

The glory hunter tag really pisses me off
We filled the ground when in the old Div 2 and the away following was second to none.
Pure Jealousy that's all it is
Hate us or love us we will be around forever <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Why would it piss you off? Glory hunters & sunshine supporters piss me off, as long as your not one yourself youve nothing to worry about.

I can remember how after that trouble in Norwich United fans were banned from all away games...

Did it make a big difference?.....

Did it 'eck.......

I was still there and the ban was rescinded after a few months...

They knew it was pointless......

Although I remember going to Anfield and all the United fans kept quiet.....

I personally found the scousers very good humoured and chatted with them, no problem....

But of course the "glory hunter" tag hadn't been invented then... ...

Called pride Murt.

I resent being associated with glory-hunters when I say I support United.

I was there with all the dodgy perms in the 80s. (Not my own I hasten to add). Every match, home and away, cost me a bleedin' fortune - and whilst it was our dream to win the championship, it wasn't even thought of on match day - just a bloody good day out enjoying watching United.

They'll beat us with what ever stick they can find, be it:

a) Glory Hunters
b) You're not from Manchester
c) Prawn sandwich eaters
d) Football didn't start in 1992
e) Arrogant fans
f) Old Trafford is quiet

The list goes on. Doesn't change that fact that United fans are the best in the world.
