Note: The 7’s mentioned will ALWAYS be correct at the time that Liverpool had their biggest win against us:
  • We were still 7 points up on them
  • They once went 7 consecutive Premier League games without scoring against us (January 2005 to March 2008 inclusive)
  • Their biggest mouthpiece Carragher scored 7 own goals
  • Their current manager has lost 7 cup finals throughout his career

Also, our record defeats are 7-0’s against Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, Wolves, and now Liverpool.

These are their record defeats (7 of them compared to ours!)
  • Birmingham City 9-1 Liverpool
  • Newcastle United 9-2 Liverpool
  • Huddersfield Town 8-0 Liverpool
  • Bolton Wanderers 8-1 Liverpool
  • Arsenal 8-1 Liverpool

I'm so done with all the chatter about this game, the Betis match cannot come soon enough.

That being said, the Carragher stat is a lovely read after watching his reaction on Sunday. Well played.
 
Unfortunately their 7-0 win over us is far more important than a random loss against Aston Villa or whatever.
 
We'll finish this season with at least one trophy won, and likely in the CL.

They'll have the we beat Man United trophy to celebrate in the Europa Conference League.
 
I read it was the first time 7 goals had been scored at Anfield since all the way back in February 2023. That can't be right surely?
