(287 Games - 15 Goals) Toxic Frogger
Forgive me if there's a thread on this somewhere else - I did a quick look around and couldn't spot it.
I finished watching it earlier this week - I thought it was really good to see and understand some of the mentalities that were happening around the club during that 98/99 season, and it brought back up some old memories for me that I had forgotten about and some new information too that I wasn't aware of.
The one thing that I felt was missing was the fans views here and there; it would have been a nice touch. I also remember during that season the amount of hate that United got, specifically around Beckham following Euro 98, and how it didn't really get as much of a mention as I thought it would have done, and must have been a driving factor at points in those early months of the season. The fans were really behind Beckham and the club during those weeks that followed, at home and away games, I thought it should have been reflected more. I also noticed during the Beckham documentary that the fans following that Euro 98 incident only got the briefest of mentions - yet we were there defending him left, right and centre from the stands. That's a minor thing I suppose, and probably something the producers wouldn't have thought about in terms of the whole story of either series.
Overall though, I really felt it was a great eye opener to what was happening behind the scenes.
