Yes we were an extremely entertaining side, yes we scored when we felt like it and yes we won the double/the treble, but to all of you who are moaning nowadays I like to say:
1: remember 67-93
2: remember Ralph Milne, Mal Donkey & Mark Higgins
3: remember Shitty away 1-5
4: remember the scouse (feckIN DIPPERS) dominance
5: remember Michael Knighton
6: remember Bournemouth away FA-cup 83/84
7: remember 30 odd thousands at TTOD
8: remember LAW scoring with a backheel
9: remember when a ST Bernhard saved us from bankruptcy
10and last but definately NOT least: remember MUNICH.The worst thing to ever happen to our beloved club. Today we are moaning and complaining about how our team perform, why they don´t score more and we even talk negative about our own players(Veron, Forlan,P Neville aso)who we should support through thick and thin. My point is that we´ve been through worse times and I really believe that the team will start playing better soon and we should as true fans always stick by them no matter what. I do agree that one could critizise a certain player but once he´s on the field we all should back him 100%! KEEP THE RED FLAG FLYIN´HIGH

Having been through all that, except the dog bit, I agree with the sentiments. Of course we support the team through thick and thin but that shouldn't stop us airing our views albeit critical ones about the team, certain players, the manager, the board or whoever. That's what this forum is all about, surely ? A discussion amongst United fans of different ages, backgrounds etc from all over the world. There would be nothing to talk about if everyone thought things were just hunky dory all the time. Have the courage to speak honestly about your concerns whatever they may be.

i don't see that as a negative. Get out of bed on saturday mornin', hangover's not too bad, jump on the train and pay at the gate to watch the reds.
Now you've got to plan six months in advance, mortgage the kids to afford the ticket and then get stuck in a seat next to some smelly toss bag and you can't move away from them. Progress my arse.

The other points were all valid though.

Keep the red flying flying high.

never been through the bad times.. but never want to see good performances end either..

i could careless about the trophies as long as we put in 120% every game.. for everyone to know we still have the thirst and still know how to play football..

keep the red flag flyin' high!
