My guess for the line-up for the game against the Eastern Europeans:

Agree with Waz, unless Veron continues his good form in the rest of these friendlies. Otherwise I think that side is the most likely, barring injuries.
 
I think he'll go with Butt, certainly for the first leg. Veron on the bench

I get your point AEBM. I have been very impressed with Carroll. He's composed, confident and commanding. Our defence always seems that little bit more stable with him around. Don't get me wrong, I think Barthez is great, I just think Carroll is in with a big shout this season.
 
I think Barthez will start if he's fit.
and according to what Fergie said if Becks doesn't get his shape back fast he won't start.
So I think the midfield will have butt veron keano and giggsy, no idea who on the right wing.

I agree, BTW he has come back to training only the 16th of July, later than Carroll,he's not at 100%, this could explain his injury BTW.

Butt keane(imo veron and keane dont play well together)

His injury is a bruised thigh, not exactly life threatening. Its just that goalkeepers have to land on their thigh all the time so he's got to let the bruises go down first. As minor an injury as you can get. He's just a bit sore, he'll be alright for the CL qualifier.
