After the excitement ;) of the Champions League draw, my mind is returning to the Prem.

Away to Sunderland on Saturday then
Home to Boro on Tuesday

This should be a nailed on 6 points, but its that bleedin Boro fixture again. Remember how awful it was last year

Is anyone else worried, or it just me ?

always worried. trouble is, i like maccarroni and i dont just mean for tea. i thought he'd prove a good signing and so far it looks like its gonna be. with the players mboro have brought in and those they have shipped out + of course mclaren they should be a different side this year. sunderland however can suck my arse.

Not worried in the slightest - last season we were too slow out of the blocks, but this year we need to be up with the leaders all the way. 6 points now would set the season off well, and we can do it.

The only slight cause for concern is the finishing. We;'ve created chances by the hatful in all our matches, but the goals return is pretty poor. Keane hasn't made clean contact with any of his four near sitters for instance while Ruud is looking off the pace still. Once that comes right we'll be flying. Just have to hope it doesn't cost points in the interim.

I agree, 5 goals in out last game was appaling.

But 6 points sure would be lovely :D

should be 6 points, but i've a funny feeling about Sunderland. Don't know why, i think Kevin Phillips is due for a goal.

I am never confident with away games. Hopefully we can get two wins. Ten points from the first four games would be a great start.

We should get this 6 points. The major reason we lost the PL last season was because losing points against those below average sides. We must reproduce the stable run between last December and this April.

We should get all six. But I've got us down for a draw on Saturday. We'll beat 'boro next week though.

BORO are always a threat and have a good recent record agaist us probably due to MACLARENS knowledge of the team and SAF.

sunderland SHOULD be there for the beating.

Charlton-bound?

Sunderland is still a very poor team, and in the last few years we have quite a good record in the Stadium of Light. It should not be that difficult to get the 3 points, if we can just perform our own standard.

What about 4 points then?

Of course, now we can't get more than 4 points. But if we can't beat Boro it will be a small disaster.

Prepare yourself for the disaster then.

No new striker equals no trophies this season. Ruud and Ole can't do it every game for us. And Forlan can't do it if only given 2 minutes as sub every time. i.e. fergie does not have faith in Forlan.

Very frustrating to draw with Sunderland yet can't say it surprised me one bit when we went in only 1 goal up at half time.

Scouser Green on the radio was having a major wank when that useless great big lunk Flo scored by manner of trying to hoof it over the bar and missing!

Anywhere else, and it would have been blocked by a defender.

4 points it is then.

There's obvious concern that we only managed to score twice, but its something to build on.

SAF is insisting on tinkering with formations, but he knows best.

Confidence comes from winning and the perfomance of our defence, Rio and Blanc in particular, was very encouraging.
