Fergie once said that to win the league we musn't lost more than 5 games all season.
Arse and United lost four games already, and Liverpool have lost five games this time.
On current form, Chelsea is the most promising, only lost twice this season.
Do you think Fergie's 'rule' isn't valid anymore, or just show that Chelsea is the strongest candidate for the Premiership this season ?

I think it's the number of wins that matter now rather than the losses, as can be seen by Arsenal's position. A run of wins at 3 points each works wonders. More important is the nature of the losses... whether they show a fundamental weakness in the team, or just "one of those days", or due to injury or exhaustion.
Sadly, I saw last night a recurrence of a fundamental weaknes at Utd - the 0-1 loss when the frontline can't score, rather than hang on for a draw. It's not the loss of a single point that matters rather than the inability to "shut out" the opposition when the strikers are off form.
Another weakness this season seems to have emerged of an inability to win away in the EPL.
To win the league this team needs to be able to grind out results on bad days. Our previous champuionship teams did this often.

I think that it does not matter how many u lose its how many u win remember Blackburn? They lost 7 and still won the prem
