what do you think of the 4-5-2? If you agree with it , then which players will you choose to put them in the formation?

I like a system like we had yesterday. Not unlike 4-4-2.

4 in front, four in midfield, and two at the back.

Promising I think. ;)

Nope, the fourth official, who has nothing better to do anyway, would be.

Why not 5-6-3? It's definitely better than 4-5-2! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

will you be applying for the top job when ferguson retires?

At one point in time against WBA, United were using 2-5-3 formation using only 2 recognised defenders, O'Shea and Blanc. They looked comfortable on the ball and they had quite a fair bit of passes sprayed around. I felt that the five mid-fielders, Giggs,Scholes, keane,Butt and Beckham had very good understanding with each other.Maybe United should play them altogether more often.

pst....we were up a man against a team that we absolutely dominated in terms on possession...we can't go out and play 2-5-3 every weekend.

or we could try emulating liverpools brilliant formation of 10-0-0.

Seriously for a moment, I thought that the midfield was too crowded yesterday-they were getting in each others way, especially when Giggs and Beckham came inside!

More like 10-0-1 where Liverpool's concerned.

And of course with Graham Poll as chief striker!

But Red Pat has a point which I first noticed in their UEFA Champs opening against Lille last season - too many midfielders gven free roles & therefore getting into each others' way - they only performed better with Ole on & a reversion to 4-4-2.

Nothing I've seen since have made me change my opinion!
