Ok folks, silly season is upon us. So how much do you expect us to spend (net) this summer?

Just a reminder of the last two year's amounts before you post something silly like £300m...

2014 - £116.1m

2015 - £28.1m

As usual i'll take the official amount from SSN.

Previous winners =

Current champion @the hea
2014 @Pexbo

Go!...

150 absolutely max. But I'd guess around 100. Half the names linked won't be joining. I think itll be out of Utd, City, Arsenal, Chelsea for biggest spenders though

Hopefully a lot.

Van Gaal's tenure wasn't all bad. He left some positives, but I think he did the worst job by far in the transfer department. If I had to pick our next manager based solely on how well he does in the transfer market, I'd pick even Moyes over Van Gaal in a heartbeat. The man had a warchest that'd make the likes of Barcelona and Real blush and he completely wasted it.

Mou on the other hand knows how to spend. For all his faults, that's one thing we can trust him to do well. He doesn't buy smart, but he buys effective. Costa, loose cannon or not, was a signing that pretty much cruised him the title. If he can do the same here, we stand a realistic chance for the title next year.

Give him as much as Van Gaal got and we'll be powerhouses.

In before KingMinger comes and tells us that we need at least £450m to get top 4.

We don't have a great deal of value in our outgoing players. I don't think we'll go as mad as some seem to think, but for us 3 players can amount to 100m, easily. I'll say 123m.

I think we'll spend about £185 million and get about £60 million from player sales.

So a net spend of £125 million.

It's going to be a biggie, I can feel it! Plus we have no good players to sell (excluding DDG who I think/hope we'll keep) so the gross vs net spend will be almost the same!

£210m
