It did seem very cliched in places, but I enjoyed it overall.

If it's meant to be an adaptation of "Bringing down the house" then its fecking terrible. The book was brilliant, the film could have been much better

The only points I will make about the movie are

1. It was clearly a movie about my year 12 Calculus class. There were 5 of us aswell. And I was pro at maths, which led to the movie making me feel bad because I never got bedded for it. Which brings me to my next point

2. Kate Bosworth is fecking ugly.

3. The money is nicked at the end by a large muscular man with a gun. Yeah those brainy mathematicians really got one over the people that spent high school playing football alright.

It's smug rubbish and replaces the Asian people who actually were involved in the event with photogenic white people (and Kate Bosworth) who look like they'd struggle to turn on a calculator.

I had to learn the Newton-Raphson method for one of my maths exams

If that hamming cnut Spacey had stayed away would've been a tiny bit better.
