Yeah, this thread will draw a crowd!

Anyway, it's fun. I'm watching Norway tear Hungary to pieces. Sell Lindegaard, buy Lunde Haraldsen. She saves everything and throws like Schmeichel to Giggs. It is actually beautiful to watch.

I went in here to create this thread!

I assume we can expect about the same crowd as the Noggie football thread. This is a great game. Hungary are playing dirty and are being humiliated!

  They don't know what's hit them! 19-6 now!

Caf would be such a useless place without the noggies.

Lunde Haraldsen's save percentage is 70%. And how many assists? Brilliant.

I love Bredeli when he's commentating handball.

I hope we batter them in the second half as well, the dirty cnuts. How they resist smashing their elbows around in this sport I'll never know.

The Competition Format is crazy. Two huge groups in the main round. It's probably always been like this, I had just forgotten about it. And three teams advancing from groups of four is cheating.
* Preliminary Round: 16 teams are divided into four groups. They play each other in a single round robin system, so each team plays three matches. A win is worth two points, while a draw is worth one point. The top three teams from each group advance to the Main Round.
* Main Round: 12 teams are divided in two groups. They play against the teams they didn't play in the Preliminary Round, so each team plays 3 matches. All points from the Preliminary Round, except the points gained against the 4th place team in the preliminary group, are carried forward into the Main Round. Same round robin rules apply as in the Preliminary Round. Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Semifinals, while the third placed team from each group advances to the 5th–6th Place Play-off.
* Final Round: 6 teams play in the final weekend of the championships. 3rd place teams from the Main Round play in the 5th–6th Place Play-off. Other teams play in the Semi finals. Losers of the Semi finals advance to the 3rd–4th Place Play-off, and winners advance to the Final.

Løke was this close to ruining the hungarian face with her elbow there, but showed mercy.

THERE is Hammerseng.

Hammerseng is Scholes and Ronaldo in one! Messiah?

I have no idea what ought to lead to a yellow, a red or two minutes.

Uh. So in the main round they have all the progressed teams from group A and group B in one group, and all the teams from C and D in the other? How about mixing it up a little?

So they start off with the group final basically. Norway - Sweden tonight, after Spurs - Chelsea. A nice day of entertainment.

I see the teams take their games from the first round into the second round! Crazy. But Norway are top of the league, so who cares.

Heidi Løke, Kari Mette Johansen and Tine Stange are out due to a virus. Bollocks, especially Løke.

Don't tell Magnus.

11-6 to Sweden, and a penalty to them for headbutting Nora Mørk in the throat. Corrupt Russians, as per usual.

At least Norway have started scoring, but it doesn't help when Sweden score every time they attack. And when they miss, we miss. Where's Hammerseng today?

I don't care who has the ball, Nora Mørk needs more time on the camera and this would be far more interesting.

That was shit. And our first loss in EC since forever.

Please don't infect the thread with juvenile vulgarity.

I actually like the tournament's setup, it makes every team play against almost every other team at least once. It's a low-variance format, I don't know why everything has to be in systems of cutting competitors in half after one or two games.

This is of no interest to you, x42bn6. It's a European Championship, no asians involved.

True, I'm warming to it. It's confusing and surprising at first, but that's just because football has made me stupid. It's actually not a bad idea.

Being thoroughly beaten by Sweden, however, is a bad idea.

We're not playing handball, we're playing kontring.

Carlsen won the London Chess Classic and secured top ranking spot, by the way.
