2 day player transfer day only

If the player transfers was done only on the 31st of August and the 31st of January only, could it work?

It would make for a hell of exciting day on those 2 months. Clubs would have to play with players that wish to leave and so on. Would players cost more? Players could have say 4 medicals in one day and then exciting bidding between clubs could take place.

Wouldn't work. Especially if a club wants to do a lot of business, just couldn't get the signings done in time.

If it was brought in, we'd probably see a lot more teams bring in youth instead of buying because of this reason.
