Saviola
Riquelme
D'allesandro
Hofland(he'll become a top CB IMO)
Kallstrom(only seen him in brief highlights)

thats 9 :p

Källstrom has to be a priority on our shopping list IMO. He has all the qualities to become a world class midfielder.

Van der Vaart and Mexes would probably fit right in with us too, but Kim Källström isn't as expensive to buy. Yet.

Add Zlatan and you'll have 10 decent youngsters on that list :)

Totally agree about Källström, the guy has great potential.

Källström is a fine player but too slow. The player to get from Sweden is Alexander Farnerud. But he's already said he's not intending to make Djordjic's mistake and join a club where it's impossible to get into the first team.

Zlatan would be interesting, if we could tame him.

If Manchester United turned out with that number of foreigners, it would be a sad day.

Well, just let them play 2 years in the Reserves, which means half will make the grade within those 2 years, and sell them for huge fees.

 I had three Brits on my list. ;)

One US player I think will be a top player someday- DeMarcus Beasley. He plays a wing position and can play in midfield. Great speed and good passing qualities. Just needs to add some weight.

He has a bright future. When I first heard his name, I thought he was some South American wonderkind. I think his name is Italian actually. But he is 100% American and will probably be on the 2006 WC Team. He's like 17 now.

Another good kid is CB Carlos Bocanegra. He's 20 or 21, but suffered an injury recently (or was it last summer). He may be the marshall of defense for 2006.

Not sure about the goalkeeper of the future. Eddie Johnson is future at M/W. I think it is a matter of time before the US turns out some great players. There is so much untapped talent in the States.

Joe Cole
David Poole
Owen
Saviola
Me? ;)
feck knowsWithout going into Championship manager knowledge by saying Prutton, Kallstrom, Cisse like every1 else
;)

Tim Howard and DJ Countess could both be very good goalkeepers.

I don't want to be too optimistic about the US' future. We've had good teenagers in the past who just didn't pan out.

What about Freddy Adu? 12 years old and playing with the U-17 national team, his parents apparently turned down a $750k offer from Inter Milan.

Argie U-17 striker

Not bad actually

Small and bulky, good pace and trickery and quite hard-working, grew up in one of the poorest and most crime-ridden places in Argentina, as one can see by the huge scar he has on his face. Think he has a good future ahead of him.

Other good players from the Argie U-17 team:

Maxi Lopez (CFWD, River Plate)
Lucas Correa (Playmaker, Rosario Central)
Gonzalo Rodriguez (RB/CB, San Lorenzo)
Pablo Zabaleta (RM, San Lorenzo)
Javier Mascherano (CM, River Plate)

Gazza i thought you always wanted this bloke called Ashton or something....</strong><hr></blockquote>

I am curious about this kid. He plays for Crewe, and his name is Dean Ashton - about 19 I think. Very good player, and plenty of time to mature. The tie-breaker between he and Malcolm Christie was that Christie has experiance in the Premiership. Both would cost roughly the same, and either would be fine, as we need a good, young striker.

What's with all these foreigners then?
Here's a lit of GB players... any thoughts?

Dean Ashton (Crewe) - has been getting rave reviews in a sh**e team

Cherno Samba (Millwall) - no, info not gleaned from Champ manager but there was a reported 'tug of war' over him a year or so ago - he's still only 16

Joe Cole (West Ham) - brilliant skills, the next Gazza for England?

Gareth Barry (Aston Villa) - hasn't progressed as much as many though, but given the right mentor (SAF) still has planty of time to improve

John Terry (Chelsea) - great season and has the experience of Desailly behind him

Darius Vassell (Aston Villa) - graham taylor doesn't want to play him, why not bring him to OT, he doesn't look out of place for England

Wayne Rooney (Everton) - scored a cracker from 45 yards in the FA Youth Cup semi against Tottenham. Already earmarked for first team appearance at Goodison.

David Dunn (Blackburn) - Has shown plenty of quality and pushing for an England place. Can play anywhere across the midfield.

Lee Hendrie (Aston Villa) - again, Villa don't seem to want him. Better a reserve at OT than Villa Park?

Jonathan Woodgate (Leeds) - total quality but needs a very firm hand. Step in SAF?

Saviola
Chadwick (ohh wait)

don't care about many other's the team we have now is just PERFECT.

1. Van der Waart
2. Joe Cole
3. David Dunn
4. Andres D'Allesandro
5. Christian Chivu
6. Kevin Hofland
7. Phillipe Mexes
8. Djibril Cisse
9. Paul Robinson(Leeds)
10. Mikael Forsell

Roy, no Jermaine Pennant, I thought you rated him highly?

Of what I've seen enough to comment on;
Mexes
Cisse
D'Allesandro
Chivu
Van Der Vaart

I rate him highly-indeed but not too likely me thinks...

Anyway, I REALLY rate the likes of Fletcher, Timm and Richardson (and ever Fox) so I think we're quite settled when it comes to midfielders.
