Neveer seen a player like him, never will.

Not talking about ability, but his presence.

Did you spot my Freudian slip - "neveer". French sounding eh?

Without answering my own qusetion, I think Eric was undoubtedly the catalyst in turning United into a Championship side once again. I think everyone would be agreed on that. But how would the last ten years have panned out if Leeds had turned down Fergie's overtures and Eric had never joined us ?

I reckon there's not a sole on here that wouldn't mind seeing him still in the side just cos he's Eric.

I reckon he could still manage 20 minutes a game

So long as the pitch was covered in sand

:)

A great player who won't be forgotten.....i remember a stunning goal by him against Arsenal n 95-1996 at Old Trafford...simply awesome.

He's a play who is well and truely entrenched in United folklore.
In 20 years people who never even saw him play will talk about the difference he made to the side, like my generation do about Bestie.

His confidence and swagger on the pitch will never be matched, when he played we truly believed that we could not be beaten, will always be the "King" in my books. We could surely use him this weekend against POO.
