We made that signing 5-6 years too late, but Bayern wouldn’t have sold to us then.

Interesting how much of a thorn Atletico has been to Madrid in recent years. They basically prevented them from going this league season unbeaten and achieving the treble.
Somewhat of a Moyes to United vibes. I think seeing Xabi Alonso's success at Leverkusen are changing how top clubs recruit their managers these days.
Bayern are a lot more trigger happy in sacking failing managers though, so we'll see what happens.
