The first got us knocked out of the FA Cup, the next puts us in a good position in our Round of 16 Europa League game, and the latest was an actual decent performance against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Thom Merrilin replied to the thread Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach.Can't see whatever you've linked there. We do play in a flat back five at times for sure, if that's what you're getting at. It's just not how we're always set up and I doubt it's what the manager wants.

It happened many times during the game. He's marking nobody and Spence(?) is unmarked in midfield. If he had done so we'd have been in a pretty solid 4231 shape.

You can look at the average positions and its much more of a back three. Also, there were plenty of times where Mazraoui stepped into midfield to form a 4231...
