His lack of effort off the ball was pretty evident even under Mourinho, and the manager even said this back then, yes this was aimed at the whole team but Rashford was certainly part of this issue.

I have seen plenty of excuses made for Rashford, but this one is quite creative to say the least.

Bruno will be 30 next season, are we ready to challenge for the title within 1-2 years? If not, are we going to drop off from the top 4 without Bruno? We are desperate for funds to rebuild this squad for the mid to long term, it’d be insane if we turned down a huge offer if we still can’t...

The potential appointment of Mckenna will send a strong signal to these long serving players, I don’t think they will be given another chance to impress a “new” manager for a season anymore, he would have seen these so called star players who had downed tools and under performed over the years.

Not only he is selfish, but he is blaming his team mates for not passing the ball and then after a moment he gets a chance, he then shoots at an impossible angle and hits the opposition players leg. We have got to manage him properly and ensure we don’t build him up to be this star player...

We have got to manage him carefully over the next season or so, we can’t have another young player who has not proven anything to have this kind of attitude already, last thing we want is to build him up to become this star player but nowhere near ready to succeed at a club like United.

Sadly this applies to a lot of our players, doesn’t help that the player that he’s meant to complete with is just as bad who is out injured.
