  • There are also 60+ games to be played. More than enough games for everyone. Football requires a deep squad. And having four front line center backs is an absolute must. I see us haggling to get the best deal possible as we look at the squad...
  • Unfortunately I don’t understand the reference. But I get the funny feeling it’s an insult.
  • Back then there was much less football on TV so I used to love things like football Iralianwhen you got to see some of these players up close. I was drawn to enigmatic players. “As a kid” is quite broad, so I’ll cover the period of probably 8 to...
  • Depending on how many games he plays, a valid question given the signing of Zirkzee, Rasmus has to have a clear target of between 20 and 25 goals across all competitions this season. Whilst it is much more important how he fits into the team...

Cantina to Irwin vs Spurs. Unbelievable first time outside of the foot chip pass: It’s absolutely fecking outrageous.

    This is the correct answer

I’m down with Hancko, not so much with Alonso. Can’t see there being much in those links. Obviously we have to manage the budget and be mindful not to solve a short term problem by creating a longer term issue, resulting in deadwood that needs...

Kadioglu seems like a good target to me as he can play both sides and in midfield too. Having that sort of versatility is important. He’s also highly technically proficient.
  • Rogue One was brilliant, but word is that Tony Gilroy had a lot to do with that including extensive reshoots. Don’t know how true that is, but seeing Andor, it wouldn’t surprise me.

At least a few months, but in most cases a season or two, except if it is an exceptional young talent breaking through; which Rios isn’t. It’s certainly not 5-6 games of an international tournament.
  • He’s definitely an upgrade on Kiwior and Zinchenko, but I think he’s a much better CB than he is LB, where he has weaknesses. Especially being run at from wide areas. He’s great in the air, but looks defensively vulnerable when playing LB. Think...
  • Unfortunately I don’t have that power.
  • Stories about Sancho and Bruno heading to PSG and Ugarte and Simons coming in the other direction. Sancho for Ugarte is a deal that improves us enormously. An unneeded winger for a highly rated CM that solves a problem. Reduction in wages paid...

The sample size is so small as to be irrelevant. You simply cannot recommend or sign a player based off 5-6 games in a tournament environment. There is no argument that can be made to suggest that is even a remotely conclusive or good idea.
  • simonhch replied to the thread Richard Ríos.
I would be surprised if there is any substance to this rumour. He’s a late developer, and has really only come to prominence in Brazil in the last year or two. He’s only been in the Colombia squad for 12 months or so. And is 24 already. His...
