  • Absolutely huge for us that Dougie has seemingly turned Newcastle down and signed a new contract at Palace, he is the most important man at the club by a country mile. I have no worries about who we sell this summer as long as he's still there...
  • Hope he stays at Ipswich, have no idea why you’d take a team up through two divisions and build that kind of rapport with a fanbase to just leave them in the lurch when you hit the big time. Especially to go to bloody Brighton ffs, half of their...
  • I rate Bowen but personally I’d take Ebs in a squad of 26, just feel he’s that bit more versatile and likely to open up a tight game with his ball carrying ability. But I am also extremely biased.
  • Shipperley replied to the thread Michael Olise.
Oh I’ve got no doubt whatsoever he’ll do that. He can take his pick of clubs to do it with though so other than some tenuous ‘supported Utd as a kid’ rumours, why on Earth would he choose Utd over the others?
  • Shipperley replied to the thread Michael Olise.
Congratulations on that but it's not really the point is it? As for Sancho, wages way too high for us even if heavily subsidised (and doubt he'd want to come anyway). Greenwood absolutely no way on Earth, would be a PR disaster. Don't see...

Obviously because he'll be assessing other options. He would be absolutely batsh*t crazy to sign for Manchester Utd at this point.
  • Shipperley replied to the thread Oliver Glasner.
Yeah he’s the one I’d sell, got two years left and not renewing. Would be a dream to keep everyone else together but it’s unlikely. As for Glasner, incredible. When he came in relegation was a possibility, we could have had two points on his...

If I believe the rumours today we’re losing our Manager, Sporting Director, Guehi, Wharton, Olise, Eze and Mateta. Only won a few games ffs, leave us alone :D
  • Shipperley replied to the thread The left-back market….
At LWB, I don’t think he’s good enough defensively to play in a back 4 personally so it’ll be interesting to see how you set up next season. I like him a lot though, would be a great pickup for us as well.

As far as I’ve heard the release clause only applies to Champions League clubs.
  • Shipperley replied to the thread Crystal Palace 2023/24.
Bild reporting that Bayern offered us €18m in compensation for Glasner last week and we asked for €100m. I was hoping we'd at least get a season out of him before this became an issue ffs.
  • Corrupt
  • Most important man at the club IMO (and I include the players in that), would be devastated if he goes.
  • And yet some are saying they’d only take Olise? We have Nathaniel Clyne at CB tonight. Expectations really have gone off a cliff at Utd!
  • Yeah really, how many caps are in your team compared to ours? How many of yours have played in the Champions League or gone deep in international tournaments? The gulf in quality between the two elevens isn’t as big as it normally is - granted -...
