I'm a fervent Manchester United fan. I started watching United back in 2002, when Becks, Keano and Ruud were still there with us. I was able to connect to United because of the tradition, because of the way things are done here, the respect, the history and biggest of all reasons - because of Sir Alex. I remember crying when the great man decided to call time and to me he's the greatest not just of his generation but of all time. There never was and never will be a man who'll equal him in stature.

I still remember the debut of that 18 year old - what's his name - with flamed hair in black away jersey who tore the wolves apart in the 30 minute cameo and later went on to become "The" Ronaldo. As a United fan there's nothing more thrilling than watching a young boy take the mantle in his hands and perform on the biggest stage. Long may it continue.
