  1. Would You Be Unhappy If We Played Like Nottingham Forest?

I find it weird that people seemed to equate SAF's teams being good at counter-attacking to his successful teams being "counter-attacking teams". That is not true, we frequently dominate possession at around 55-65% during his era.
  2. Rashford | Villa | Loan with option to buy

I would go further to say he never truly embraced being the main man for utd, despite the getting the biggest paycheck. Was it Steve Maclaren who said Rashford reacted quite emotionally and agitated when Steve was trying to encourage him and said he will score the goals?
  3. Scott McTominay | Napoli

This was a transfer that worked for both sides. His competition in UTD would have been Bruno and Amad. We just didn't need him and we needed the money. Glad to see Mctominay playing regularly and doing well.
  4. Marcus Rashford (out) | signs for Villa on loan

Is his salary really as high as it has been described? One would assume that the salary would be filled with clauses like playing in Europe, goals etc, all of which is down now, meaning he would at most be paid a portion of his purported salary?
  5. Amad Diallo | 2024/25 Performances

What a wonderful player he is! Came here as a youngster known for his ability on the ball. But what really impresses me is his tenacity and workrate. Sounds humble and very grounded too.
  6. Maguire's Redemption | One-year option triggered

I am full of respect for Harry for how he knuckled down and just worked hard to win his place back. This is the type of attitude and mentality you want in your players.
  7. Manchester United view sidelining Marcus Rashford as key to cultural reboot

To think that Amorin shielded him for his trip to the US, and now he throws him under the bus. Sigh
  8. Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

It does seem like despite all his problems, ETH never really lost the dressing room.
  9. Alejandro Garnacho appreciation thread

I thought the "influencer" said it to his face when he was signing autographs for other fans? It is not really a case of him paying attention to social media
  10. The Overlap | United a Mess, Faith Lost in Arsenal & Title Race Over? | Stick to Football 72

Your memory wasn't wrong. By the end of the season, Van Persie was clearly the number 9 and Shinji Kagawa was improving and showing what he can do as the 10. Fergie didn't want to make the decision though as he felt it should be left to Moyes to decide.
  11. Alejandro Garnacho appreciation thread

From day 1 of seeing him in a united shirt i love his spirit. You can coach a lot of things but not bravery. I like how he always come back and have a go no matter how hard he was tackled by the opposition. This is the greatest similarity he has with CR7. Watching united has been really...
  12. Ruud van Nistelrooy | Has left United

Indeed. He is the only staff who left with his stock higher than before he joined. All the best Ruud and thank you for your exemplary service!
  13. Post match vs Leicester City

Am pretty sure some of the people moaning here didn't even watch the match. This match is an example of how stats can be very misleading. Most of Leicester's shots on target were soft shots which Onana didn't even have to stretch to reach, with the exception of that save from Ayew. On the other...
  14. Post match vs Leicester City

Ugarte was absolutely influential. Very impressed by him
  15. Erik ten Hag | 2024/25 | Sacked

He is s dead-man- walking. I'm honestly not that fussed when he is sacked. More important to find the right manager after him
